Repeat Prescriptions in Birmingham
Our Birmingham repeat prescription service is here to make managing your regular medication easier. Patients can request repeat prescriptions through the NHS App or NHS website and choose Kings Pharmacy as their nominated pharmacy.
Once your GP surgery approves your repeat prescription request, it can be sent electronically to Kings Pharmacy. Our team can then prepare your medication and advise you on collection or delivery options where available.
How Our Repeat Prescription Service Works
The first step is to nominate Kings Pharmacy as your chosen pharmacy. This means your approved electronic prescriptions can be sent directly to us by your GP surgery.
You can request your repeat medication through the NHS App, the NHS website, or by contacting your GP surgery directly. Once your GP approves the request, your prescription will be sent to Kings Pharmacy for dispensing.
When your medication is ready, you can collect it from the pharmacy. Delivery may also be available for eligible patients depending on your circumstances and location.
Ordering Through the NHS App
The NHS App is a simple and secure way to manage your healthcare online. You can use it to request repeat prescriptions, view your prescription information where available, and choose Kings Pharmacy as your nominated pharmacy.
To use the NHS App for repeat prescriptions:
1. Download or open the NHS App.
2. Log in using your NHS login details.
3. Go to the prescriptions section.
4. Request your repeat medication.
5. Choose Kings Pharmacy as your nominated pharmacy.

Prescription Collection and Delivery
Once your prescription has been received and prepared, you can collect your medication from Kings Pharmacy. Please wait until your prescription is ready before visiting the pharmacy where possible.
Prescription delivery may also be available for eligible patients. Availability can depend on your circumstances, your location and the type of medication required.
